Our legacy
Three generations of Powell roofing
A Florida family roofing tradition whose first-party history traces its trade roots to 1982.
Family roots
1982First-party historyWhere it began
A trade passed down with a promise
Wallace Powell entered the roofing trade in South Florida as a young man in West Palm Beach. From the beginning, the work was personal. A roof was never just a material order or a line on a schedule. It was protection for somebody’s home, family, or livelihood.
The family moved to North Florida in the early 2000s. Stewart and Adam now carry the company forward, bringing the lessons learned on roofs across Florida into every assessment and installation across the served region.

A father’s standard
“Treat every roof as if it were your own mother’s house.”
That line still shapes the details: tell the truth about the condition, protect the property, finish the roof carefully, and stand behind the work.
What stays constant
No middlemen between the promise and the roof
The business has grown, but the working relationship remains personal.
Direct ownership
The family behind the name stays close to the assessment, recommendation, and work.
Practical honesty
We explain what the roof needs and why, without building the visit around sales pressure.
Work that respects the property
Preparation, roofing details, cleanup, and final review all belong to the same standard.
Home territory
North Florida is where the family works.
Powell & Sons serves 25 North Central Florida city-guide markets and considers extended projects toward Lakeland, with residential and commercial roofing subject to property and schedule availability.
